pulp dreams

so many people are suffering with colds

and flu

and i am sniffle free.

so far--

so, on saturday i took this great shot 

of what a papermaker dreams about.

pulp.

 egyptian cotton 

a banner that i loved in the foyer at slu.

somehow a huge loon and beautiful cotton pulp 

stew together in my heart

and i think of all the art that comes from physical

material experience.

matter, matteria, material

there's no coincidence that 

papermakers call this stuff STUFF.

i am in a mindset to make

paper.
